The prestigious Attacca Quartet, formed by Amy Schroeder and Domenic Salerni on violins, Nathan Schram on viola, and Andrew Yee on cello, arrives at the Petit Palau with a highly relevant program as part of the Palau Fronteres cycle. The concert includes the world premiere of Mujer ángel by Gabriela Ortiz, a piece commissioned by the Palau along with institutions such as Carnegie Hall, The Phillips Collection, and the CNDM. The program is completed with Plan and Elevation by Caroline Shaw, Klee by Gabriel Kahane, and Carrot Revolution by Gabriella Smith. An evening with a strong presence of contemporary female composers, confirming the American quartet as one of the most innovative and committed ensembles in today’s music scene.
