Visitor Services
La Nova Porta features a visitor information and assistance area that transforms the traditional box office model into a more open, welcoming and personalised service.
Located at the heart of the new space, it will be the main point of contact for information about the programme, purchasing tickets, answering enquiries and helping visitors make the most of their visit to the Palau. This new approach aims to provide a more flexible service and an experience tailored to each visitor’s needs.
Palau Shop
The space is home to the new Botiga del Palau, managed by Laie and designed as an extension of the visitor experience.
The shop offers a selection of exclusive products inspired by the Palau’s most iconic features, with a particular emphasis on local production, craftsmanship and sustainability.
The range also includes a collection of publications dedicated to the Palau, architecture, Catalan Modernisme and Barcelona, as well as a selection of books on music, art and design. The products are integrated into the exhibition route itself, bringing together information, heritage and the shopping experience within a single space.
An exhibition space to discover the Palau
An exhibition route that introduces visitors to the history, architecture and activities of the Palau de la Música Catalana.
Through audiovisual displays, interactive drawers and reproductions of original architectural features, visitors can explore key moments in the history of the Orfeó Català and the building designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, while discovering the richness of its musical and architectural heritage.
The exhibition also showcases the Palau today: its artistic programme, the choirs of the Orfeó Català and its Escola Coral, and the institution’s social outreach initiatives.
Immersive experience
Opening this December
The experience includes an immersive space designed by Tiler Gab that will complete the Palau's guided tour route.
The room is designed to offer an enveloping listening experience, featuring a Dolby Atmos sound system and lighting that responds to the music in real time. The voices of the Orfeó Català, the soul of the Palau, will take centre stage.
From November, the first piece visitors will be able to hear is El Cor Infinit, by composer Marc Timón, a work created especially for this new space. In the future, the room will host new musical works and sound experiences.
