The 2025–26 season is marked by a series of significant commemorations related to Catalan musicians and/or composers.

In 2025, we commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of pianist Ricard Viñes, born in 1875, who had a strong connection to the Palau. He will be honored with a piano recital featuring works by Ravel, Debussy, and Mussorgsky that he premiered. The commemorative series also includes Conxita Badia, whose 50th death anniversary will be observed in 2025.

Some of her songs will be performed in various choral concerts. Among the centenaries of birth, 2025 also marks 100 years since the birth of Josep Cercós, a Catalan composer influenced by the modernist trends of his time, a student of Hermann Scherchen, and a contemporary of Luigi Nono and Iannis Xenakis. Additionally, in 2026, organist Montserrat Torrent will turn one hundred. A leading figure of the organ in Catalonia and Spain, and mentor to several generations of organists, she will be honored in April 2026 with a collective organ recital at the Palau de la Música Catalana.
