Lea Desandre and Thomas Dunford form a musical partnership of extraordinary rapport. She has a voice that communicates from the very first moment and a way of singing that seems to bring every word to life; he is a charismatic lutenist with a compelling stage presence, turning every encounter with his instrument into an experience in itself. Together, they present an intimate and exquisite recital built on closeness and dialogue between voice and lute.
The programme features works from their album Idylle, a true statement of intent, and journeys through the 19th and 20th centuries with songs by Hahn, Satie, Charpentier, Lambert, De Visée, Debussy, Barbara and Offenbach. A succession of musical delicatessen in which to enjoy two performers who place rapport, elegance and communication with the audience at the heart of the recital.
