Great film scores have the power to transport us to extraordinary worlds, and when choral voices join the orchestra, the emotional impact becomes even greater. This concert explores some of cinema’s most spectacular musical creations, featuring excerpts from films such as Star Wars, Avatar, The Mission and Alice in Wonderland. The music of John Williams, one of the genre’s most influential composers, will take centre stage alongside works by James Horner, Ennio Morricone and John Powell, whose scores have left a lasting impression on generations of filmgoers.
