I’m a Soul Woman

I’m a Soul Woman
Black Music with a Female Voice
Details
I'M A SOUL WOMAN takes us on an exciting journey through African-American music of the last century, through musical styles such as Gospel, Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Funk and Disco, to reunite us with the legendary singers who marked an era in popular music of the 20th century, such as Billie Holiday, Etta James, The Supremes, Nina Simone, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan Donna Summer... These empowered women defended ideals of racial and gender equality from the stage, and opposed established norms through unforgettable songs that helped change our world. With the help of the best female voices in the country, and with the support of Lalo López and a luxury band with musicians from the Fundación Tony Manero, A Contra Blues, and the Original Jazz Orchestra, we will revive these legendary songs on a stage as special as the Palau de la Música Catalana, keeping the flame of black music burning and continuing the fight against inequalities with the power of singing. Respect!
