Brandenburg Concerts by J. S. Bach

Brandenburg Concerts by J. S. Bach
Details
The Brandenburg Concertos return to the Palau with a historic ensemble: Concentus Musicus Wien, founded by Nikolaus Harnoncourt, commemorating the 10th anniversary of his passing. With his pioneering work, Harnoncourt paved the way for historically informed performance, and this concert is a direct legacy of that. The six scores comprising this unique cycle by Bach display his boundless imagination, the interplay between soloists and orchestra, and a writing that combines sophistication, rhythm, and joy. A celebration of vibrant and essential Baroque, by one of the ensembles that best preserves its spirit.
