Arielle Beck
Details
At just seventeen, Arielle Beck comes to Palau Piano as one of the most exciting emerging talents on the European piano scene. Recently awarded the Revelation Prize at France’s Victoires de la Musique and a recipient of the Alicia de Larrocha Scholarship, the young pianist makes her debut in the series following a remarkable rise that began at the age of nine, when she won the Jeune Chopin competition with Martha Argerich as president of the jury.
Beck presents a programme featuring works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Chopin and Prokofiev, four very different musical worlds through which to showcase the versatility, expressiveness and maturity of a still very young talent. A first appearance at Palau Piano by a pianist who is beginning to establish herself on the international scene and is well worth following closely.
