Born in Barcelona, Alba Ventura made her debut as a soloist at the age of 13 with the Cadaqués Orchestra under the baton of Sir Neville Marriner. Her solo career has taken her to the most emblematic auditoriums in Europe and the rest of the world, such as the Wigmore Hall and the Barbican in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Cité de la Musique in Paris and the Svetlanovsky Hall in Moscow.
She is also renowned as a chamber music performer and has worked with such prestigious figures as pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja, the Brodsky Quartet, Takács Quartet and Casals Quartet; and violinists such as Boris Belkin and Lina Tur Bonet.
