The Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, conducted by Xavier Puig, presents an evening dedicated to cosmic grandeur with The Planets, Gustav Holst's masterpiece evoking the personalities of the celestial bodies of our solar system. It's one of the most iconic works of 20th-century programmatic music. The concert opens with the world premiere of the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra by Carles Marigó, performed by the composer himself as soloist. Following this, the Cor de Noies de l’Orfeó Català, under the direction of Montserrat Meneses, performs Homeland by Ralph R. Stroope.
