Get ready to experience moments of vitality, nostalgia, joy and serenity as you imagine yourselves travelling along the canals of Antonio Vivaldi’s native Venice, the composer also known as the “Red Priest”. A concert performed on historical instruments, with an aesthetic both earthly and celestial, inviting audiences to rediscover the music of this violinist, conductor, teacher and composer.
Goals
- Listen to and enjoy the works of this composer, beyond The Four Seasons, performed on historical instruments.
- Become aware of the role of the solo instrument and the ongoing dialogue established between the soloists and the instrumental ensemble.
- Experience the idea of contrast through the senses within the musical context of the Baroque period.
- Discover new instrumental timbres and new musical recreations.
