The four seasons: Summer

–Nature and culture

Details

The Palau de la Música Catalana is a home of music and poetry. Two art forms unaltered by the passage of time, leaving an imprint, unseen but with a deep scar. That same magic surrounds the movement of the solstices, a relief perceptible through light, temperature, and gesture. With four poetic evenings, we will celebrate the passing of the seasons in the Rehearsal Room of the Orfeó Català. Four events in which we will launch Orphic quests, vibrate with a city that shakes us, dance poetry like someone questioning themselves in front of a mirror, and invoke poets who rise electrified.

Performers

With Perejaume and Neus Borrell

Program

Bringing together visual and literary creation, Perejaume’s work combines painting, sculpture, words, performance, video and sound, while questioning the relationship between nature and culture. He is joined by pianist and vocalist Neus Borrell, who has previously worked with Perejaume on Xilena, and with Bru Ferri and Miquel Joan, with whom she has released the albums El cos per caure (2023) and Tot dorm (2019), among others. Perejaume’s latest book is L’Escrita (L’Altra, 2025). His other publications include Pagèsiques (Edicions 62, 2011; Ciutat de Barcelona Prize and Lletra d’Or Prize, 2012), Treure una marededéu a ballar (Galaxia Gutenberg, 2018) and Fonts líquides i fonts lignificades (Tushita, 2020).
