Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem is one of the most moving compositions in the sacred music repertoire, a work shrouded in mystery that the composer left unfinished at the time of his death. The Cor Madrigal, four vocal soloists and the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès come together to perform this extraordinary score, which combines solemnity, drama and beauty of profound expressive depth. From the overwhelming power of the “Dies irae” to the quiet introspection of the “Lacrimosa”, the music confronts us with the fundamental questions of human existence.

The programme also features Soneto de la Noche by American composer Morten Lauridsen, a work of exquisite delicacy that brings an intimate, contemporary perspective to the evening.
