POLYPHONY invites us to explore the richness of choral singing in Catalonia from its very epicenter: the Palau de la Música Catalana. The rehearsal hall of the Orfeó Català, where the foundation stone of the Palau lies, embodies the institution’s founding purpose: choral singing and the central role of its artistic and social practice. Through a series of conversations moderated by journalist and music communicator Pere-Andreu Jariod, we will hear directly from the protagonists themselves, gaining a multifaceted perspective that reveals how deeply choral singing is rooted in Catalan culture and in the very essence of the Palau de la Música Catalana.

An insider’s perspective on what it means to be part of a choir: the commitment involved, the day-to-day reality of rehearsals and performances, and the variety of repertoires and formats.
