Tribute to Joan Maragall and Clara Noble
Details
Barcelona, December 22, 1911. It is the burial of Joan Maragall at the Sant Gervasi cemetery. Clara Noble, his widow, writes her feelings in her diary. She promises that she will ensure that her husband’s poems are never forgotten. She recalls his Infinite Ode and begins to travel through the different moments and places in which Joan Maragall wrote some of his finest poems.
Based on Joan Maragall’s most emblematic poems, this recital merges spoken recitation with the Catalan lied: an immersive experience in which audiences will enjoy expressive, deeply emotional music, while experiencing the strength and depth of the work and the loving family life of the great poet Joan Maragall.
