What does the visit include?

Casa Milà, known as La Pedrera, was Gaudí’s last civil work.

A unique building inspired by nature, offering visitors a deeper understanding of the architect’s creative vision. The visit includes spaces such as the iconic rooftop terrace with its striking chimneys and towers, the Attic, and the courtyards.

Meanwhile, the Palau de la Música Catalana, designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, is a true temple of music and an architectural gem where all the applied arts come together. Discover the explosion of light, shapes and colours in the Concert Hall, the emblematic staircases leading to it and the Lluís Millet Hall with its mosaic balcony, a true stone garden in the heart of the city.

The Palau façade

The Palau’s intricate façade features a wealth of allegorical figures, sculptures and architectural elements characteristic of Catalan modernism.

On the first floor, a balcony runs along the façade, supported by fourteen paired columns decorated with mosaic, each with a unique design. On the second floor are busts of musicians by Eusebi Arnau: from left to right, Palestrina, Bach and Beethoven; beyond the sculptural group on the corner stands the bust of Wagner, now located on Carrer d’Amadeu Vives. The façade is crowned by a large mosaic pediment by Lluís Bru.

At the corner, the sculptural group La cançó popular catalana by Miquel Blay depicts Saint George beneath a central female figure, an allegory of music, surrounded by characters representing a sailor, peasants, an elderly man and children.

Concert Hall

This century-old hall has hosted some of Barcelona’s most important musical events throughout its history.

Dominated by the organ above the stage and crowned with a central skylight representing the sun, the hall is filled with natural light.

Both mystical and striking, it is rich in figures and symbolic detail: the muses surrounding the stage, Wagner’s Valkyries emerging from the ceiling, a bust of Anselm Clavé on one side and one of Beethoven on the other, alongside elements drawn from nature such as flowers, palm trees and fruit.

Lluís Millet Hall

The grand hall, dedicated to the founder of the Orfeó Català, is adorned with beautiful stained glass and opens to a balcony richly decorated with mosaics.

Palau Foyer

Now home to a café-restaurant, this space retains striking architectural features, including brick arches decorated with ceramic detailing.

The façade of La Pedrera

The distinctive undulating stone façade is one of the most iconic features of La Pedrera – Casa Milà. Its appearance recalls an open quarry, which gives rise to its popular name, “La Pedrera”, and reflects the creativity of Antoni Gaudí as well as the craftsmanship of the artisans involved in its construction.

The Rooftop

From the rooftop of Casa Milà, visitors can enjoy 360º panoramic views over Barcelona while exploring a unique landscape formed by sculptural chimneys and ventilation towers, decorated with ceramic, stone and glass trencadís.

The Attic

This space, formed by a sequence of 270 brick arches, houses an exhibition dedicated to Gaudí’s life and work, featuring models, plans and audiovisual materials that help explain his creative process. Originally, this area served as the building’s communal laundry space.

The Apartment

An apartment recreating the domestic setting of a Barcelona bourgeois family in the early 20th century. It preserves original furniture and elements designed by Gaudí, such as mouldings, door handles and flooring, offering insight into everyday life in the building.

Inner courtyards

Casa Milà features two large inner courtyards – the Flower Courtyard and the Butterfly Courtyard – rich in colour and ornamental detail. Notable features include the organic shapes, murals and decorative finishes on walls and ceilings, as well as the iron and glass doors that serve as the building’s main entrances.
