The ESMUC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ernest Martínez Izquierdo, offers in this concert a programme of works by composers in which the head of the group is a true specialist. More or less contemporary, Berio, Zimmermann and Saariaho simultaneously represent different and very personal aesthetics of the 20th century –often outside the prevailing doctrines of their time– and are particularly attractive to a group of musicians in training such as the one that will perform these works.
