Concert with the Orfeó Català, to commemorate the anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone
In 1922, Gaudí wrote in the Golden Book of the Orfeó Català, an album of dedications: “In Heaven, we will all be choir members,” a phrase that reveals the connection and importance he gave to the Orfeó Català.
On the centenary of Gaudí’s death, a concert will be offered with the Orfeó Català, highlighting the choral spirit and the bond between both institutions. The concert will also be a living tribute to collective memory, evoking all the generations that have made the Basilica possible. It will honour the effort and perseverance of anonymous yet decisive people, who with their dedication, faith, and work have driven this project dreamed by Gaudí, from generation to generation.
