Nadine Sierra & Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal de Versailles

—Mozart and Donizetti

Notice

Concert surtitled in Catalan.

Details

Nadine Sierra makes her first appearance on the Modernista stage of the Palau de la Música Catalana after having shone at the Liceu. The American soprano has all the qualities of a great diva: an exceptional instrument, a generous voice, a captivating timbre and a charisma that is equally evident in her stage presence. For her Palau debut, she presents a programme of arias by Mozart and Donizetti, two expressions of bel canto, spanning Classicism and Romanticism, which will allow her to reveal different facets of her voice while also championing the great female roles in Donizetti’s operas.

Alongside her, the Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal de Versailles, conducted by Victor Jacob, completes a recital tailor-made for a singer who captivates both through the qualities of her voice and the way she inhabits the stage. A first encounter with Palau audiences and an opportunity to experience up close one of the voices that has shone in Barcelona’s recent opera seasons.
