Details
With its extraordinary musical richness and the expressive power of its choruses, Messiah by George Frideric Handel holds a special place among the great masterpieces of sacred music. Exploring the life of Jesus Christ, from his birth to the Resurrection, this oratorio moves between moments of quiet reflection and passages of magnificent grandeur, including the world-famous “Hallelujah” chorus, which has become a universal anthem. The Baroque orchestra Vespres d’Arnadí and the Cor de Cambra de Granollers, conducted by Xavier Puig, will perform a selection of this celebrated work, featuring soloists Rita Morais, soprano, Albert Guiñón, countertenor, and Joan Francesc Folqué, tenor.
