1925. In the heart of the Raval, Les Flors de Maig was born.
One hundred years later, more than 300 singers take to the stage to invite us on an emotional and musical journey through their history: from their beginnings as a men’s choir to their current vitality and splendour, culminating in the creation and presentation of the Escola Coral Les Flors de Maig.
In this very special concert, the voices will be accompanied by different musical ensembles from L’Escola de Músics and GrupCello.Cat, in an intergenerational gathering that brings together tradition, future, and a strong commitment to culture and the neighbourhood.
More than a concert, it is a tribute to the roots of a choir deeply connected to the Raval, its people, and the city of Barcelona. A celebration of music, memory, and community.
This concert will also support the Fundació Contrapunt, helping to raise funds for music study scholarships for children and young people, promoting universal access to music and culture.
