JOSB & Christian Vásquez

JOSB & Christian Vásquez
Details
Conductor Christian Vásquez returns to lead the Jove Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona at the Palau de la Música Catalana in a concert that invites us to enjoy two major works of the symphonic repertoire.
The programme will open with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, a work of great dramatic intensity that takes on special significance in 2027, the year marking the bicentenary of the composer’s death. The JOSB will then perform Jean Sibelius’s Symphony No. 2, a majestic, colourful work of great expressive intensity in which the Nordic composer unfolds his entire sound world and a powerful evocation of the Finnish landscape and spirit.
A programme bringing together Beethoven’s dramatic force and Sibelius’s orchestral richness in an exceptional evening at the Palau de la Música Catalana, under the baton of a leading conductor such as Christian Vásquez.
This is a charity concert in aid of Cáritas Castrense Barcelona.
