—No és res urgent and Andrómeda encadenada d’Agustí Charles
Details
Soprano María Hinojosa, acclaimed for her vocal versatility and compelling stage presence, returns to the Palau to perform two lyrical monodramas by Agustí Charles, the Palau’s guest composer for the 2026–27 season. The programme brings together No és res urgent, with a libretto by Marc Rosich, blending dark humour and dramatic tension as a woman desperately tries to reach her lover, and excerpts from Andròmeda encadenada, inspired by a poem by Fátima Frutos, exploring the emotional aftermath of a breakup through classical mythology. Both works were originally premiered by Hinojosa, offering an insight into the theatrical and expressive qualities of Charles’s contemporary musical language. Featuring Marc Charles on violin, Esther Pinyol on harp and stage direction by Jordi Pérez Solé, the performance highlights music’s ability to give voice to the characters’ deepest inner conflicts.
