—De Vocht, Bruch and Strauss
Details
The Antwerp Symphony Orchestra will perform under the baton of Marc Albrecht. They will be accompanied by violinist Augustin Hadelich, renowned for his impeccable technique and interpretative sensitivity. In a programme dedicated to German composers, Hadelich will perform Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1, the most famous of the three concertos written by this composer.
The orchestra will also perform three iconic pieces by Richard Strauss: Don Juan, a work about the legend of the famous seducer; Till Eulenspiegel’s The Merry Wives; and the Dance of the Seven Veils from the opera Salomé. The programme will be completed by the Spanish premiere of a work by Lodewijk de Vocht, In Ballingschap (“In Exile”).
