Frames Percussion
—Ortiz, Matalon, Luna and Maiguashca
Details
The Barcelona-based ensemble Frames Percussion arrives at the Petit Palau with a program that explores the limits of sound and percussion through a selection of contemporary Latin American composers.
The concert will feature works by Gabriela Ortiz, guest composer for the Palau’s 2025–26 season (Liquid borders; Liquid city; Liquid desert), Martín Matalon (Traces IV for marimba and electronics), Demian Luna (a commissioned work by Frames Percussion), and Mesías Maiguashca (Intensidad y altura). Part of the Palau Fronteres cycle, this concert combines the power of percussion with electronic experimentation and contemporary commissions, confirming Frames as one of the most dynamic and innovative ensembles on the current scene.
