From Lyricism to Heroism

Clara-Jumi Kang returns to our season with the sensitivity and virtuosity that have made her one of today’s leading violinists. She will perform Vaughan Williams’s The Lark Ascending, a page of unparalleled lyrical beauty in which the violin becomes a free and poetic voice. The programme opens with Leonore Overture No. 3 and culminates in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, Eroica, a foundational work of modern symphonic writing. All under the passionate direction of the distinguished conductor Sunwook Kim, who makes his debut with our orchestra.
