Entangled Others: The nature of the Palau de la Música Catalana through artificial intelligence
Details
The exhibition brings together the whole series of works created by the Entangled Others studio as the graphical illustration of the 2023-2024 artistic season at the Palau de la Música Catalana, employing a series of materials with which the Palau communicates and presents its activity. The aesthetic impact of the works created by Entangled Others extends beyond their mission, to become genuine artworks in themselves. Their work, inspired by the artistic elements decorating the Palau de la Música Catalana, forms part of the events commemorating the centenary of the death of Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
The relationship between humanity and Nature, which is the theme for the 2023-2024 season at the Palau de la Música Catalana, aims to highlight the indissoluble links between the two. Humanity cannot live outside Nature, while Nature is in turn profoundly connected with how humanity interacts with it. Positively and negatively.
The artists
Entangled Others is an artistic duo that engages with nature through the use of generative technologies, including artificial intelligence. Based in Lisbon, made up of Sofía Crespo from Argentina and Feileacan McCormick from Norway. The "Entangled" concept expresses a complex idea of interwoven disorder, but at the same time something that is profoundly involved and inseparable. Within the context of Nature, this context serves to describe the set of random circumstances that prompted the emergence of life and gave rise to the Universe and the world we inhabit.
