Since 1996, the El Primer Palau competition series has been committed to presenting the future talents of classical music in the magnificent setting of the Modernista concert hall. A debut filled with shared emotions between performers and audience, which has brought to the Palau some of the most outstanding musicians of recent years and of the future. A variety of ensembles, programmes and instruments come together in a celebration of music, with a format of short concerts taking place throughout the same day.

The El Primer Palau Marathon begins at 3 pm and runs until 8 pm, offering audiences the chance to attend the recitals that interest them most, with a general admission ticket giving access to up to 8 different concerts. You will have the opportunity to discover the talent of young international performers making their debut at the Palau de la Música Catalana. You will also experience the excitement of a competition in which all participants, whether advanced students or recent graduates, perform at a very high level. You will also hear a wide range of instruments and ensembles: strings, solo piano, accordion, voice, duos with piano and chamber music.

A day to enjoy the hall, the music and the geniuses of the future in a relaxed atmosphere that will inspire anyone wishing to open a window onto the future of music. Get ready for a day full of music!
