Details
The Symphonie Fantastique was premiered in 1830. It broke away from many of the musical conventions of the time and is still considered one of the most challenging symphonies to perform. Hector Berlioz was inspired by his own emotional suffering, by an unrequited love that that he was able to reflect in the score and which gives it its backbone and enormous originality.
The Turin-based Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI will has been invited to inaugurate this very special tenth season, under the baton of its principal conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada. And in a performance of Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4, the most virtuoso of the five the composer wrote, the orchestra will be accompanied by Michael Barenboim, considered one of the greatest contemporary violinists, who will perform the Violin Concerto No. 4, the most virtuosic of the five that Mozart wrote.
