Passion according to Saint Matthew by Bach

Details

Bach’s St. Matthew Passion returns to the Palau, true to a tradition that year after year invites us to relive this monument of sacred music with renewed emotion. Jonathan Cohen, at the helm of Arcangelo, offers an interpretation full of clarity and intensity, attentive to the balance between Gospel drama and contemplation. The cast brings together voices of great sensitivity and expressiveness such as Nick Pritchard (Evangelist), Alex Rosen (Jesus) and Carolyn Sampson, among others. A work that transcends time with undiminished power, finding in the Palau a stage where its light and truth resonate with special depth.

This concert will be subtitled in Catalan.
