Details

In addition to the famous Mass in B minor and some fragments of sacred Latin texts, Bach's catalogue contains some unique and little-known lutheran Masses, in which the composer set music to the first two movements – “Kyrie” and “Gloria” – of this genre, which is typical of Catholic liturgy. This programme brings together a selection of fragments from the most important religious musical genre in our culture.
