Final Scene from The Valkyrie by Wagner

Details

Iván Fischer returns to the Palau at the helm of the Budapest Festival Orchestra to offer a programme charged with emotional intensity. The evening begins with Schumann’s Symphony No. 3, known as the Rhenish, a work of vibrant spirit and full sonority that reflects the beauty of the Rhine landscapes. But the climax comes with the powerful final scene of Wagner’s Die Walküre, one of the most striking passages of the Ring cycle. Ingela Brimberg and Hanno Müller-Brachmann give voice to this passionate drama between Brünnhilde and Wotan, with an orchestra unleashing its full Wagnerian power. A concert where lyricism and grandeur intertwine in an unforgettable experience.
