Áron Horváth
—Young international talents
Details
The young Hungarian cimbalom virtuoso Áron Horváth, featured in the ECHO Rising Stars series and nominated by Müpa Budapest and the Konzerthaus Wien, comes to the Palau with a fascinating program. It includes transcriptions of Bach (Suite No. 2 in D minor, BWV 1008 and the Chaconne from Partita No. 2 for solo violin), works by György Kurtág and László Sáry, and two premieres by Emma Nagy and Christopher Bray. A unique opportunity to discover the richness of this traditional Hungarian instrument, which also has universal references in iconic works such as the music from the film Zorba the Greek by Michael Cacoyannis.
