The Simfònica Julià Carbonell de les Terres de Lleida, conducted by Xavier Pagès-Corella, comes to the Palau with a powerful program featuring works by Catalan composers inspired by flamenco. The concert includes the “Suite” from ballet Alegrías by Robert Gerhard, Concierto fantástico by Albéniz with Albert Guinovart on piano, the Danza flamenca from the Suite Juan Latino by Xavier Pagès-Corella, and El amor brujo by Manuel de Falla, featuring flamenco singer Mayte Martín. An evening that blends heritage, flamenco, and modernity as part of the Tardes al Palau concert series.
