Gran Gala Flamenco: A trip through the heart of flamenco
The most widely seen Flamenco Spectacle in the history of Barcelona
Gran Gala Flamenco is a voyage through all that Flamenco offers, where you can find everything imagined in this art form: Castenets, Dress Train Sweeps, Fans, Precious and Sensual Costumes; all along with original music. This wonderful combination is the reason for our 18 years of uninterrupted programming.
Contrary to what takes place in the Tablaos, in Gran Gala Flamenco, the spectator enjoys spectacular choreography created by the most acclaimed companies of the present panorama of Catalan and Spanish dance. A show that transports the spectator on a journey through the different “palos” (“rhythms”) of flamenco. A unique show, a succession of sensations, derived from rhythms that define flamenco art, intangible heritage of humanity.
In this show the spectator will be able to move through the different “palos” of flamenco (rhythmic patterns such as “bulería”, festive and happy, “solea”, solemn and concentrate, “alegría”, dynamic and fluid, “tango”, “guajira”, “farruca”). Introducing the new Catalonian generation of flamenco artists, Gran Gala Flamenco offers a perfect union of heart and soul, music and dance, passion and rithm.
