The Salvat Foundation presents the soloists who have received the Salvat Bach Scholarship in a concert in which Laurence Cummings conducts the Bach Collegium Barcelona in a selection of cantatas, the form that occupies a central and at the same time essential space in the enormous musical production of J. S. Bach. He wrote more than three hundred of them dedicated to worship, with around two hundred having survived to the present day, while more of the secular cantatas have been lost than preserved.
