Exhibition 'Carsten Gueth. The Circle as Ritual'

Exhibition 'Carsten Gueth. The Circle as Ritual'
Details
The ritual made image: the visual universe of Carsten Gueth for the Palau
This season’s programme is based on a powerful idea: rituals are the invisible thread that unites communities throughout history. We gather in circles to celebrate, to listen, to sing together... The circle, a recurring motif in the work of graphic artist Carsten Gueth, symbolises community, return and permanence. It is also an essential figure in both music and in the modernist architecture that houses the Palau de la Música Catalana, the stage where rituals take shape around the musical experience: concerts.
The Palau has entrusted the visual identity of this season to Carsten Gueth for his unique vision, capable of translating the idea of ritual into graphic language and making it accessible to everyone. His work combines the strength of symbolism with the freshness of the present, while connecting deeply with the values that inspire the Palau’s programming. The pieces created for the new season breathe intensity and contrast: pop colours bursting alongside subtle half-tones. A tension between emotion and technique that echoes the architecture of the Palau, surprising the viewer with light and colour without losing balance.
The exhibition will be on display in the Foyer of the Petit Palau from 23 October to 15 January, during concert hours or with a cultural visit ticket.
