Details

The Fairy Queen contains some of the most celebrated excerpts from Henry Purcell's work, and from the entire history of opera. So, you simply cannot miss the first edition of the Palau Opera concert series, which devotes special attention to the British composer. The specialist Vox Luminis ensemble, conducted by Lionel Meunier, will offer us a succession of masquerades —the English replica of Italian and French opera from the late 17th century— which saw Purcell triumph in London's theatres.
