Details

The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflöte) is an opera in two acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with a German libretto by Emanuel Schikaneder made as a Singspiel, a popular form that includes both singing and spoken dialogue. The work premiered on September 30th 1791 at Schikaneder's theatre (Vienna), just two months before the composer's premature death.
