The trio comprising Jörg Widmann, Tabea Zimmermann and Annika Treutler presents its latest project: Once Upon a Time... at the Palau de la Música Catalana.

Like many other composers of the Romantic period, Robert Schumann found in fantasy a source of inspiration, and Märchendbilder and Märchenerzählungen are symbolic representations by the composer of the classic fairy tales. Jörg Widmann, performer and composer, brings his contemporary vision to this subject with the work Es war einmal (Fünf Stücke im Marchenton).

This program also includes the clarinet Trio in E flat major, KV 498, “Kegelstatt” by Mozart, which made him the first composer to write a work for clarinet, piano and violin, a combination of unusual instruments at that time.
