Handel, one of the most celebrated Baroque opera composers, will feature on the programme for the first edition of the Palau Opera concert series with Giulio Cesare in Egitto, one of the highlights of the Italian operas written by the German-born, London-based composer. The ensemble Forma Antiqva, conducted by Aaron Zapico, will accompany a group of soloists that, headed by soprano Carolyn Sampson, also includes prominent names such as Hilary Summers, and countertenors Christopher Lowrey and Konstantin Derri.
