The Well-Tempered Clavier is one of J. S. Bach’s foremost pieces for keyboard; it exerted a notable influence on later composers and is a staple on the repertoire of any performer specialising in Baroque music. In his latest visit to the Palau, Russian pianist Evgeni Koroliov takes on the first of his two collections of works, 24 preludes and fugues, which covers all the major and minor keys of the chromatic range.
