The joint history of Chucho Valdés and Paquito D'Rivera begins in 1962, when the saxophonist went to a club in Havana to listen to Bebo's son playing the piano. In less than two decades, their joint work gave rise to some of the most brilliant adventures in Cuban music and, by extension, in universal music, especially within a superband called Irakere.
60 years after their first meeting, Chucho and Paquito recorded and toured together again. The result is I Missed You Too!, an album that –you don't have to be Nostradamus– will be a serious candidate for the next Grammys.
The tour, which in Catalonia has only stopped at the Porta Ferrada Festival this summer, returns to Catalan lands for an exclusive concert in Barcelona, at the Palau de la Música Catalana. Get ready for a monumental musical shakeup.
IMPORTANT: Minors under 16 years of age may only access the venue accompanied by their father, mother or legal guardian. It is essential to present the Responsibility Sheet (see attached documents) duly printed and completed.
