The music of the Manuel Barrueco is often described by his critics as superior and elegant, with a unique style and an unusual lyricism. After leaving Cuba at the 60’s, where he took his first steps as musician and where he received his first advices from his friend Leo Brouwer, Barrueco has developed a highly successful career as a performer and professor in the United States. Over the years, though, he has not only played in the most important theatres in the world, but also collaborated with legends such as Toru Takemitsu, Arvo Pärt, Dmitri Yanov-Yanovsky, Plácido Domingo, Al di Meola, among many other names.
